Producer Mohan Vadlapatla has opined that the government should have issued specific guidelines regarding the reopening of theatres in Telangana at a time when the pandemic is still there. "Instead of leaving the decision of reopening the theatres to exhibitors or lease owners, the government should have actively issued guidelines," the producer has said.
The government has deemed movies made with a budget of less than Rs 10 Cr
as small movies. As per Vadlapatla, the upper limit should have been Rs 3 Cr. Small movies, as per the government, will get GST reimbursement if they meet certain criteria.
He demanded that the government should end the hegemony of digital service provides. As per him, the latest set of sops announced by the government seems to have been influenced by only some voices and that it's not really objective in nature.
