Global Star Ram Charan today came in for an incessant round of trolling from the fans of heroes like Allu Arjun, Jr NTR and Mahesh Babu on social media. These fan bases have accused Charan of forcing Dil Raju's banner to make unreal claims about the collections garnered by Game Changer.
A day after Game Changer hit the cinemas on January 10, Sri Venkateswara Creations came out with a poster, claiming that the movie had grossed Rs 186 Cr on Day 1. The actual figure was Rs 85 Cr. After Day 2, a close aide of Ram Charan shared a poster sharing that the movie had made Rs 270 Cr by the end of its Day 2. Again, it was a highly inflated poster. In fact, the movie made Rs 186 Cr in seven days, not one day.
It is suspected that the IT Department deemed it fit to raid Dil Raju's properties today because the tall claims made reached the department. It is understood that figures mentioned on publicity materials can't be held against any producer/hero/distributor. As long as the account books are clean, no action would be taken.
In the past, following the release of major movies like Baahubali: The Beginning, production houses saw IT officials visiting them.
