The Pongal race in Tamil Nadu is no longer a race. Ajith Kumar's Vidaamuyarchi has now been postponed indefinitely. With its postponement, Game Changer's only Tamil competitor is now behind. Ajith's action thriller is NOT going to be released for Pongal. So, on January 10, Game Changer will be the sole major release at the Tamil Nadu box office. (In Telugu, Game Changer locks horns with Daaku Maharaaj and Sankranthiki Vasthunam).
"Due to unavoidable circumstances, our film 'Vidaamuyarchi' will not be releasing on Pongal day. We wish all our fans and well-wishers a prosperous year ahead (sic)," Lyca Productions, which is producing Ajith's movie, has stated.
Ram Charan and Game Changer couldn't have asked for more. If the Tamil audience are satisfied with the film's content, the Tamil version of the Shankar-directed political action entertainer could pull off wonders. Pongal is a beneficial time for movies in TN. Films featuring Rajinikanth, Vijay and Ajith have vied for it in the past, which tells a lot about how much the Tamil crowds want to catch movies during the festival week.
Game Changer's Trailer will be out on January 2.
