'Rudrangi' is the title of an upcoming action drama starring Ashish Gandhi in an action-driven role. The film features Jagapathi Babu as Bhim Rao Dora, a ruthless village head. Ahead of the film's theatrical release on July 7, its pre-release event was held in Hyderabad on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, actor Ashish Gandhi described chief guest Balakrishna as one of his biggest inspirations in life. "I call him the People's Star. 'Rudrangi' has me in a powerful role. Mallesh is the name of my character. It was a pleasant experience working with Jagapathi garu for the second time," he added.

Actress Gahnavi sounded elated about her first Telugu film. She described Jagapathi as a wonderful actor. She also cherishes the experience of working with seniors like Mamata Mohandas and Vimala Raman.

Mamata Mohandas began her speech by raising the 'Jai Jai Balayya' slogan. She complimented the imaginative prowess of the film's director. Describing Jagapathi as her good friend, she added that the film wouldn't have been completed fast but for him. She lauded Ashish's performance and added that he can evolve into a mass hero.

Director Ajay Samrat said, "I am thankful to all those who supported me and worked for the film. This film should be the beginning of another hundred such films."

Producer Rasmayi described Balayya as a simple person who is loved by the people. He praised Jagapathi, saying that the film wouldn't have been possible without him. "His dialogues in Telangana dialect will be remembered by everyone for long," he added.

Jagapathi Babu recalled his association with the 'Akhanda' actor since the days of 'Legend'. 'Rudrangi' marks the beginning of a new innings, the senior actor hinted. The producer spent a high budget, a figure much bigger than his market range. The 'Srimanthudu' and 'Maharshi' actor hoped that 'Rudrangi' would go down as one of the most memorable films in his career.

Nandamuri Balakrishna said that films like 'Rudrangi' are rarely made. Jagapathi's acting skills also came in for mention. Since Mamata Mohandas is a cancer survivor, the 'Bhagavath Kesari' actor praised her spirit.
