Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan on Monday welcomed senior producer Bhogavalli Venkata Sathyanarayana Prasad (better known as BVSN Prasad) into his party. Also a distributor in the past, Prasad has produced a number of movies on Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra for years now. With Power Star, he made the 2013 hit 'Attarintiki Daredi'.
Prasad started his film career in the mid-1980s. He partnered with Allu Aravind to produce the 2009 blockbuster 'Magadheera' with SS Rajamouli as the director. 'Arya 2', 'Darling', 'Oosaravelli', 'Nannaku Prematho', and Varun Tej's 'Tholi Prema' are some of his other popular productions.
Recently, his banner's blockbuster 'Virupaksha' grossed more than Rs 100 Cr. It's the biggest shot in the arm for his banner in years after a spate of flops ('Mr. Majnu', 'Solo Bratuke So Better', 'Intlo Deyyam Nakem Bhayam' and 'Dochay').
Prasad, whose son is taking care of the production works related to 'Gandeevadhari Arjuna', will likely travel with the 'Ustaad Bhagat Singh' actor in the coming days on the political front.
