Here is why Akira Nandan moved Delhi High Court

It is known that Akira Nandan (son of actor-politician Pawan Kalyan) recently moved the Delhi High Court over an unauthorized AI-generated deepfake film and related misuse on social media. What prompted him to do it?

An entire film was created and completed using AI deepfake technology to feature Akira Nandan as the lead actor. While many celebs have been deepfaked in innocuous AI videos, a whole film hasn't been done before in the case of future debutants. The film, titled AI Love Story, replicated his appearance, voice, and personality traits via AI tools. Akira Nandan's lawyer argued that this violated his personal rights, privacy, and personality/publicity rights. The court heard the case and granted a temporary injunction (interim ban), restraining the circulation, broadcast, and further exploitation of the film and any related content.
