Director Gopichand Malineni has revealed that the production of NBK111, Nandamuri Balakrishna's 111th movie, will kick off in the month of March. He described the yet-to-be-titled project as an out-and-out commercial film.
"This is going to be way better than Veera Simha Reddy. The subject is very commercial in nature," the director assured the audience.
After Krack with Ravi Teja in 2021, expectations from Malineni went up. In VSR, released in 2023 against Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya, sister-brother sentiment was explored. "Balaya Babu's teary scenes, the portions where he talks emotionally with his wife and other such situations in the movie have clicked big time with the family audience. Balayya Babu's biggest hits were greatly liked by the family audience. After the first half of VSR, everyone lauded the fanboy moments. After watching the second half, they lauded the family emotions," he said at that time. It's said that NBK111, co-starring Nayanthara as the heroine, will also have emotional scenes. Balakrishna was seen in Akhanda 2 last year.
