"Kala Manjusha" organization has been celebrating Telugu film industry's birthday on 6th February since 2016 when journalist Rentala Jayadeva's research article about the first Telugu talkie movie 'Bhakta Prahlada's release on 6th February 1932 was published. They have been honouring senior actors, directors and producers. "Telugu Cinema Vedhika" and "Nestham Foundation" have also joined hands with them this year. A award in the name of late producer V.Doraswamy Raju has been initiated. Tammareddy Bharadwaja, NR Anuradha Devi, Jagarlamudi Radhakrishna Murthy, Gottimukkala Satyanarayana Raju were among others who received awards this year.
