Mothevari Love Story, which started premiering on Zee5 on August 8, has amassed over 2 lakh viewers in just three days. It has reached the No.1 spot on ZEE5’s trending charts. The team behind the web series is in a happy space. Featuring Anil Geela and Varshini Reddy Junnuthula in the lead roles, it is directed by Shiva Krishna Burra. Produced by My Village Show Movies and Madhura Entertainment, Mothevari Love Story is a web series running into seven episodes.
Actor Anil Geela said that the series has become a rage even without grand promotions. "This series is made purely by Telangana people, and we thank ZEE5 for backing our rooted stories. People doubted us because we came from YouTube, but this series proved we can do big things," he added, describing his series as a Karimnagar-made product from those who hail from the YouTube background.
Director Shiva Krishna Burra explained that the series was inspired by his father’s real-life experiences in the Gulf and dedicated the project to him. Producer Sriram Srikanth remarked on the universal nature of the story, which is told with a Telangana accent. He announced that future My Village Show projects would target a broader audience, extending beyond just Telugu-speaking viewers. Actress Varshini thanked the director and producer for their trust.
