Sankranthiki Vasthunam child artist Revanth given political colour

Revanth Bhimala is the name of the child artist who played Venkatesh's son Bulli Raju in Sankranthiki Vasthunam. A couple of scenes from the family entertainer have made him quite famous. Many directors are likely to rope him in in the coming months. Many years after Master Bharath, Revanth might be the child comedian with the maximum potential.

Social media, meanwhile, has made him a partisan celebrity. In a recent interview, Revanth said that he had campaigned for the Jana Sena Party in the run-up to the assembly elections last year. It's immature for social media to give a child a political identity. It is morally wrong to use children, who don't know anything about politics, for electioneering. Just because his elders let their son participate in campaigns, doesn't mean others have to double down. Recently, Revanth Bhimala stated that plastic cups must be stopped and glass must replace plastic. Netizens see cryptic political messaging in this (glass being the symbol of JSP)

Child celebrities are the only ones that don't lend themselves to political polarization. In the age of hyper-partisan politicking, let children like Revanth not be dragged into the muck.
