So far we have seen full fledged films on Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, Lord Ganesha and even Lord Shiva but for the first time in Indian cinema a movie on Ravana is going to be made soon. Padmasri Dr Mohan Babu, whose lifelong dream was to enact Ravanabrahma is going to be fulfilled through this flick titled ‘Ravana’. Yes! The film ‘Ravana’ is going to be directed by none other than Darsakendra RAghavendra Rao who directed devotional films like ‘Annamayya’ and ‘Sreeramadasu’. The veteran director has already proved to the audience that no other director than him can do films of that genre. This movie will go on the sets in 2012.
Addressing the media Dr Mohan Babu said, “This movie will showcase the greatness of Ravana in a brilliant manner. The story of this film will progress right from the birth of Ravana to his death. I’m going to portray one such character which was played by greats like NTR and SVR. My role will be designed on par with the roles they played. All the central characters in this film will feature all renowned Indian actors. We are going to use 3 D camera with foreign technology.
”
Raghavendra Rao said, “Mohan Babu is one actor who can impress the audience in his style in any role that he plays. He is the only actor who has the ability to deliver the dialogues on par with NTR. In ‘Ravana’, Mohan Babu is going to exhibit the Navarasa talent hidden in him. In our combination we did super hit films like ‘Alludugaru’, ‘Allari Mogudu’, Major Chandrakanth’, etc. Now we believe that this film is going to be much more wonderful than those films. We will announce the remaining details of the film shortly.”
