'Dhagad Saamba' is headlined by Sampoornesh Babu, the Burning Star of Telugu cinema. Directed by NR Reddy, the entertainer is produced by Praveena Creations. Ahead of the film's theatrical release on May 20, the film's director talks about what is unique about the entertainer.
This is my first film as a filmmaker. Back in 1993, I entered Tollywood with the aim of becoming an actor. Due to some reasons, I had to quit the industry and start doing business. Owing to my passion towards cinema, I re-entered the industry. I wrote some stories and started seeking opportunities. After narrating the story to cinematographer Mujeer Malik, I started writing the screenplay, dialogues and lyrics myself. We then approached Sampoornesh Babu, who really liked the story. After he okayed the story, I made some changes to suit his image and body language.
'Dhagad Saamba' is a script with twists and emotions. I am sure its plot turns are going to impress the audience. The male lead's motives are suspenseful. What he does is a mystery to other characters. I am sure that you are going to see a new Sampoornesh Babu!
Mujeer is the prime reason why this project even happened. He has been instrumental throughout. Sampoo's performance, the music and other ingredients are going to mesmerize the audience.
The action scenes are a stand-out feature. Also, the performances by artists such as Basha, Jyothi, Appa Rao, Chalaki Chanti and Fish Venkat are superb.
'Dhaga Saamba' is a revenge story in the main. Its romance, comedy and revenge elements hold the key. It's a film with five songs and five fights. There are no larger-than-life elements. The scenes look realistic.
