Kareena Kapoor has stated that she doesn't feel comfortable doing sex scenes. "I feel that a sex scene is not important to take a story forward. It's not something that I believe is required in the form of a story. I know I would not be comfortable doing that. I have never done it," she told Dirty Magazine.
The Bollywood heroine suggested that treating sex as a form of "human experience" on the big screen might have made her look at the genre otherwise. Most of the time, sex scenes are tasteless and titillating in Indian movies, she suggested. "We have to start looking at and respecting that a lot more before we put it on screen. It's my belief," Kareena said.
Kareena's contemporaries like Mallika Sherawat acted in sex scenes, while the max she and most star heroines have done are intense smooching scenes. For most female actors, doing raunchy scenes doesn't make any sense, considering that they will get typecast in no time.
