Nithiin's Robinhood features Sreeleela as the female lead. The comedy caper and entertainer will hit the cinemas on March 28th, clashing head-on with MAD Square.
Producer Y Ravi Shankar has almost risked ridicule by tom-toming about the looks and screen presence of the lead pair in Robinhood. "Just finished watching the movie, and both Nithiin and Sreeleela were fantastic. They play off each other so well. It brought back memories of Mahesh Babu and Ileana in Pokiri," Ravi Shankar, who otherwise measures his words, said yesterday.
The Pokiri pairing is regarded as one of the best ones ever. By likening the Nithiin-Sreeleela pairing to the Pokiri pairing, Ravi Shankar may have set his hero-heroine duo for incessant trolling, quite unwittingly. The speech could be exploited by trolls if Robinhood doesn't work as expected. Even otherwise, Nithiin and Sreeleela hardly possess the kind of charm Mahesh and Ileana did back in the 2000s.
