Mythri's Summer Slate: Robinhood, Jaat, Good Bad Ugly have no overlap

This Summer, Mythri Movie Makers is going to have three major releases in a span of less than two weeks. And none of them are going to eat each other.

On March 28, Nithiin's Robinhood will head to theatres in Telugu. The comedy entertainer is directed by Venky Kudumula and co-stars Sreeleela. The film has the potential to do good business in Telugu if its Trailer scores. The Teaser was dull. Nithiin's market has been lame after the pandemic.

On April 10, Mythri will bring out two films before the audience. Kollywood superstar Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly and Hindi hero Sunny Deol’s Jaat. While these two will be marketed as multi-lingual releases, their potential outside the original language is nearly nil.

Ajith's films haven't generated even decent openings in Telugu for a while now. His most recent movie, Pattudala, was a damp squib. Sunny Deol's Jaat has little potential in Telugu; its director (Gopichand Malineni) being a Telugu maker might ensure some Telugu nativity but the pull of the hero is limited. Jaat is no Animal.
