Suriya's movie under the direction of Venky Atluri went on the floors recently. The filmmaker is making a family-friendly emotional drama with the Kanguva and Retro actor.
About a year ago, Atluri wanted to cast Suriya in an inspirational, biographical story. Since Suriya has acted in similar aspirational stories (Aakasam Nee Haddhu Ra being the major one) before, Atluri changed his plans. He narrated a family story to him.
This doesn't mean that the Jai Bhim actor will be seen in a Victory Venkatesh-type role. His character will likely have the social background of his Sanjay Ramaswamy from Ghajini.
The film, which is yet to be named, is Suriya's 46th name and has music by GV Prakash Kumar. It is produced by S Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya. Summer 2026 is when the film will head to theatres.
