Uppalapati Srinivasa Rao, self-described as a film industry person, has alleged that SS Rajamouli has been harassing him because of an old issue between them. As per Rao, the Baahubali director was in love with the same woman as his.

"I have worked with Keeravani, Chandrashekhar Yeleti, Gunnam Gangaraju, Hanu Raghavapudi, and Cherry, the CEO of Mythri Movie Makers. They all know about our friendship. My friendship with Rajamouli is 34 years old. In our young age, a girl entered both my life and Rajamouli’s life. It was like a love triangle story, similar to the film Arya 2. But I sacrificed my love for him. Rajamouli had asked me to make the sacrifice. This all happened before the Shanti Nivasam TV serial period. But after Rajamouli became a top director, he started torturing me, saying that I had revealed his story to someone. I sacrificed 30 years of my life for him. One time, when we had a small argument, he said he would make a film about our story, and from then on, he started torturing me. Rajamouli’s entire family pulled away from me. I am now 55 years old. Because of Rajamouli, I never got married. I was advised not to go after women and focus on my career. Because of my friend, my life turned out this way. He keeps torturing me, believing that I outed our love story to someone. There is no evidence for this. All of this happened between us. I want the police to treat this as a suo moto case regarding my death declaration."
Rao has filed a police complaint against the RRR maker. Rajamouli's team is yet to respond to the allegations.
