Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar is in the news because a police complaint has been lodged against her at Tilak Marg, Delhi. Earlier this week, the 'Veere Di Wedding' actress had amplified a video clip in which a man was seen being assaulted and his beard chopped off. Swara gave a communal twist to the incident, which the Uttar Pradesh police have since described as a fringe attack with no bearing on the religious identity of the victim.
Besides Swara, Twitter India MD Manish Maheshwari and others are also facing a police complaint. The police have launched an inquiry.
On her part, Swara is carrying on with her life. She has been making casual posts on Twitter. In the wee hours of Thursday, Swara wrote that she had literally cooked Maggie surreptitiously in the dark and ate it out of the same utensil sitting on the floor. "The future does not look bright," she wrote.
