Back in the early to mid-2000s, Jr NTR was too weighty. He looked too bulked-up in some of the movies like 'Andhrawala, 'Samba', 'Narasimhudu' and 'Naa Alludu'. After 'Student No. 1', 'Aadi' and 'Simhadri', Tarak was out of shape for a few years.
The blame lies in the fact that he was a compulsive foodie who was fond of non-vegetarian food. In a recent interview, a senior industry person who was associated with Tarak's movies on the production front recalled that the shoot of 'Narasimhudu' had to be temporarily suspended because the lead actor was gaining too much weight for his own good. "He was given some break so that he got to shed kilos of weight," the industry person said.
Tarak was seen in a lean look starting 'Ashok', which was released in 2006.
