Vishwak Sen's 'GAAMI', directed by Vidyadhar Kagita and produced by Karthik Sabareesh under Karthik Kult Kreations, will be released in theatres on March 8. The makers today said that the film has been made with the vision of being a game-changer.
Announcing the date, the 'Das Ka Dhamki' actor said that his 'Gangs Of Godavari' has been indefinitely postponed due to pending works. In its place, 'Gaami' is arriving at the cinemas.
Sen added that 'Gaami', which sourced its funds from a crowd of investors, was launched in 2018. "I was shooting for 'Gaami' in Varanasi when teaser works related to 'Falaknuma Das' were on. I gave directions to my team on the phone," the 'Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi' actor said. "The film hasn't become stale by any reckoning. When it was conceived, it was done so for the long haul," the hero added.
The Maha Shivarathri release has the hero playing an Aghora, to play which Sen had to undergo a physical makeover. Presented by V Celluloid, the film was shot in Varanasi and has a religious touch.
Chandini Chowdary, MG Abhinaya, Harika Pedada, and Mohammad Samad have different roles. Naresh Kumaran is the film's music director.
