There is a full-blown politicization of 'Pushpa 2' on display. Already, two particular dialogues from the movie have been blown out of proportion and highlighted by YSRCP supporters online. The aim is to widen the rift between the Mega camp and the Allu camp.
TV channels like Sakshi are entertaining self-declared fans of Allu Arjun on bulletins. These fans are found making silly statements about films like 'Game Changer'. The All India Allu Arjun Fans & Welfare Association has asked those who are not authorized to represent any Bunny fans association to desist from appearing on TV channels.
Shanti Prasad Singaluri, an advocate and a Jana Sena Party functionary, has gone to the extent of shaming Allu Arjun for giving an ex-gratia of "just" Rs 25 lakhs to the family of Revathi, who died in a stampede recently. "You earned Rs 300 Cr on the movie. But the family of a woman who died to watch your movie is being given just Rs 25 lakh. Do you have any shame?" the Advocate asked Bunny on X. He has got more than 44,000 followers.
Attempts have been made by the Allu camp to defuse the tension. "It was clearly mentioned in the video (statement by Bunny) that he would take care of the family (of Revathi). The immediate assistance of Rs 25L from him (Bunny) serves as a reassurance that he is there for them. People like you should not be in a position to create rifts among fans," a close aide of Allu Arjun wrote, addressing the Advocate.
'Pushpa 2', meanwhile, is expected to gross more than Rs 600 Cr worldwide by the end of Day 4.
