In 'Prasanna Vadanam', Surya (portrayed by Suhas) has an atypical medical condition that prevents him from recognizing faces. His face blindness, coupled with his Good Samaritan traits, leads to a unique predicament wherein he gets embroiled in a triple murder case. Written and directed by newcomer Arjun YK, the film's trailer was released today ahead of the film heading to theatres on May 3.
Viva Harsha, who has been seen more often these days in movies, plays Surya's well-meaning buddy. Payal Radhakrishna plays Surya's girlfriend who knows about his medical condition. Co-starring Satya and others, the film's music has been composed by Vijai Bulganin.
The rapid cuts towards the end of the trailer imply that we can expect neo-noir elements with a twist in 'Prasanna Vadanam'. In that case, the title could mean more than what it is implied on the surface.
The film, also featuring Rashi Singh, Nandu, Tamil actor Nitin Prasanna, Sai Shweta and Kushalini, has essentially been made as a suspense thriller. It is produced by Manikanta JS and Prasad Reddy TR. S Chandrasekaran is its director of photography.
