Brahmanandam's Return: Why His Speeches Aren't Hitting the Mark with Gen Z

Lately, Brahmanandam has been commissioned for speeches at movie promotional events. The senior actor, who wasn't to be seen much in movies for many years, became active earlier this year ahead of the release of Brahma Anandam, a film co-starring his son Gautham. Since then, he has been active, on and off.

Recently, he grabbed eyeballs at the pre-release event of Kannappa, praising Manchu Vishnu and getting praised in return. This week, the legendary comedian was seen at an event of University Paper Leak, R Narayana Murthy's upcoming movie.

Brahmanandam has a clean image. His words carry weight. He never overstays his welcome when it comes to addressing the crowds. If he is in the right mood, he can bless you with meme material. However, his speeches these days are failing to attain virality. You hardly see them being talked about my meme-makers. While the words come straight out of his heart, probably, the language is too melodramatic for the tastes of Gen Z and Gen Alpha. When he imitated Kamal Haasan at the pre-release event of Bharateeyudu 2 last year, many loved it. That's the kind of fun Brahmi that the audience prefer.
