Actor-philanthropist Sonu Sood has resolved to finance the construction of a new building for a noble-intentioned school meant for underprivileged children in Bihar's Katihar. The funds will help an engineer named Birendra Kumar Mahato (27), who is single-handedly steering the institution by taking inspiration from the 'Arundhati' actor.
The 'Dookudu' actor learned that the engineer had quit his regular job so that he gets to run the school for the poor and orphaned children in the town. The school also shelters its 110 children. "Ration, quality education, and other amenities have been sponsored," a source says.
Speaking about the endeavour, the 'Acharya' actor said that education is the best tool that is there to end poverty. Ensuring that marginalized people enjoy better job opportunities is the long-term goal. Nutrition needs and general well-being are also being taken care of.
