Telugu cinema has long been a powerhouse of action, drama, and larger-than-life heroes. While these films have their undeniable charm and pull, it's rare to find a story that simply celebrates the quiet, everyday moments of life. The kind of stories that feel relatable and grounded, where the drama isn't about saving the world, but about navigating a new city, making rent, and falling in love. This is why a film like Couple Friendly could be a much-needed breath of fresh air.
The film's teaser introduces us to Shiva (Santosh Sobhan), a struggling interior designer from Nellore trying to make ends meet in Chennai. His journey isn't a grand heroic one; it's a familiar struggle. To pay the bills, he does bike pooling, a very relatable modern-day hustle. It's through this simple act that he meets Preethi, essayed by a homely Manasa Varanasi. What follows isn't a dramatic, fate-fueled romance, but a gradual, organic connection between two people who start as strangers and slowly become lovers.
Wielding the megaphone is Ashwin Chandrasekhar. With art direction by Michael BFA and editing by Ganesh Shiva, Couple Friendly has cinematography by Dinesh Purushothaman. UV Concepts is joined by producer Ajay Kumar Raju P. Aditya Ravindran is the music director.
Couple Friendly is in its post-production phase. UV Concepts, the sister wing of UV Creations, is ready with a Telugu-Tamil romantic entertainer titled Couple Friendly.
