While Kamal Haasan is making arrangements to release ‘Vishwaroopam’ on the DTH platform on January 10th, it appears like the Tamil audience might not get a chance to enjoy the first of its kind show since the Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners Association (TNTOA) and Tamil Nadu Film Distributors Federation (TNFDF) have decided not to distribute and screen the film if it is released on DTH platform. A joint committee meeting was held last night by the two organizations to pass the resolution on
Kamal Haasan’s decision to release the film a day before the scheduled date in theaters, i.e., on January 10th.
TNTOA president R M Annamalai said, “Even now we are ready for the discussion with Mr Kamal. He had earned his name and fame only because we screened his movies in theaters. It's like he had climbed to the top and kicked the ladder.”
