Powerstar Pawan Kalyan is the first among Tollywood heroes to encourage his favourite sport rifle shooting. The actor is so obsessed with this sport that audience must have noticed atleast one scene related to it in most of his films. Hence he came forward to promote and encourage the Ananthapur based National Champain Rekha, one of India’s 15 top rifle shooters. Pawan met her today on the shooting sets of ‘Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu’ and presented a cheque of Rs 5 lakhs. Rekha won several medals in State and National level in 50 meters rifle shooting as well as 10 meters air rifle shooting.
Rekha told the media, “My native place is Ananthapuram but we have settled in Hyderabad. Rifle shooting is my soul, so I started practicing keeping that as my goal and stood as as one among India’s top 15 rifle shooters. My next goal afte championship is to take part in Olympics. However, talent alone is not sufficient to participate in Olympics. It’s an expensive event. At this juncture I became helpless and met Pawan Kalyan. After knowing my background, he instantly gave the moral and financial support that I needed. He is the real star in real life. His reaction for my problem was amazing. He treated me as his own sister. I’ve seen him as an actor before, but today I saw him as a great human being. He is a very kind-hearted person.
