After making a decent comeback with Sekhar Kammula’s ‘Life is Beautiful’, Amala Akkineni recently did a cameo role in the Bollywood movie titled ‘Listen Amaya’. This film features yesteryear hit pair Farooque Shaikh and Deepti Naval in the lead and Swara Bhaskar in title role.
Amala has reportedly played the role of Deepti Naval’s sister-in-law in the film. ‘Listen Amaya’ has been selected for the 15th London Asian Film Festival, which will be held in March 2013. Debutant director Avinash Kumar Singh directed this film that tells the story of a young girl Amaya (Swara Bhaskar) and her widowed mother (Deepti Naval), who begins to develop a relationship with Amaya’s friend (Farooque Shaikh). The film had earlier won the best feature film and the best director award at New Jersey Independent South Asian Cinefest.
