Nivi is Sri Gouri Priya's name in Chennai Love Story, Kiran Abbavaram's next release. The actress of MAD fame is playing a relatable girl-next-door in the movie, whose release date will be announced later this year.
In today's poster, we see the lead pair in a serene, twilight scene with a lighthouse emitting a warm glow. This creates a romantic and dreamy atmosphere. Sri Gouri Priya plays a lovesick girl who seems to have gone through a break-up.
Writing about her doing Chennai Love Story, SKN wrote that she was totally spellbound by the story narration and decided to do the film within minutes, saying she was "blessed". The actress even cancelled another movie just to make it happen and avoid dates clashing, the producer revealed. "Her energy on set lights up every frame, and her performance with Steven Shankar (Kiran) is sure to steal hearts," he further wrote.
Written by Baby director Sai Rajesh, the romantic drama twists the meaning of ideal love in a positive way. Chennai Love Story is directed by Ravi Namburii, who also serves as its screenwriter. Mani Sharma is composing the music, Viswas Daniel is handling the cinematography, Anantha Sriram is writing the lyrics, Bhaskar Mudavat is the art director, and Santhsoh Naidu is the editor for Chennai Love Story. Produced jointly by SKN and Sai Rajesh, this one has Dheeraj Mogilineni serving as the co-producer.
Sri Gouri Priya has also acted in Mail (2021), Writer Padmabhushan (2023), and Lover (Tamil) in recent years. Chennai Love Story is expected to be an early 2026 release.
