Nidhhi Agerwal invites controversy by endorsing a betting app

At a time when the Telangana police are rounding up social media influencers and Internet celebrities who have endorsed betting apps previously, actress Nidhhi Agerwal has invited a row by promoting one such app. While the app could be legal, the actress has definitely put herself up for social media criticism. In a viral Ad doing the rounds on social media, the heroine is heard saying that users can instantly earn a commission of up to 50% by signing up on the app.

Nidhhi is currently doing Pawan Kalyan's Hari Hara Veera Mallu and Prabhas' The Raja Saab. In the former, she is a dancer. In the latter, she has a "shocking" role.

Recently, Nidhhi was in the news for filing a cybercrime complaint against a social media user who had subjected her to severe online harassment and issued death threats. In her complaint, the star heroine stated that on January 6, she was repeatedly tagged in abusive comments on her Instagram account. The user issued direct threats against her life, saying, "I will find you and kill you within ten years."
