A video clip in which Dr. Mohan Babu is heard claiming that he bought 7,000 acres of land in a scenic location in New Zealand for his son Manchu Vishnu to enjoy, has gone viral. Even a couple of media reports wrote about it as factual news. Turns out that it was just a prank.
Taking to social media, actor Brahmaji said that Vishnu, Mohan Babu and himself were having "pure fun" in the video. "Mohan Babu garu was in full comic form and I was pulling their leg as usual. But suddenly people have started believing it’s real! If buying 7000 acres in New Zealand was that easy, I would be shooting there every weekend! Let me clear it up before the jokes turn into news headlines. Nobody bought any land. It was all in jest. New Zealand doesn’t allow that kind of land ownership for non-citizens," Brahmaji clarified.
Manchu Vishnu's Kannappa is slated to be released in theatres on June 27. Whatever buzz the movie currently enjoys is entirely because of Prabhas' role in the movie.
