Netizens have found the Teaser of Akhanda 2 to be exaggerated and almost silly. The Trident shot, in particular, has received flak. "How is it humanly possible to rotate an object the way he does? Does he hold miraculous powers within himself? If that's the case, what sense does it make to exert himself physically otherwise? He could have just sat at a place in a meditative posture and launched the Trident on the baddies," a Netizen opined.
Others, however, are enamoured of the Teaser. "Only Boyapati Sreenu is capable of making the best use of Nandamuri Balakrishna's screen presence and onscreen rage. The scale of the sequel will be bigger than that of the first part," a fan wrote.
While the VFX is not up to the mark, the final product is expected to be superior. 14 Reels Plus is bankrolling the movie.
Akhanda 2, as of now, is slated to hit the cinemas on September 25. But it will most definitely avoid a direct clash with Pawan Kalyan's OG. The buzz in trade circles is that the makers of Akhanda 2 and OG will arrive at a consensus and rejig their release dates. Although both movies might release for Dasara, they won't be released on the same day.
