Superstar Mahesh Babu and Panjaa fame director Vishnuvardhan were classmates. Back in their high school days in then Madras, they used to sit on the same bench and were buddies doing things (some of them ostensibly naughty) together.
In a recent interview, Vishnuvardhan revealed that, on one occasion, he and Mahesh Babu bought a leaked question paper before an exam. "Although we were in Madras, we used to converse in Telugu. We bought a question paper that was doing the rounds in the town. But the leaked one turned out to be a fake one," the director, also known for Bollywood films like Shershah, said.
In 2011, the Vishnuvardhan-directed Panjaa starred Power Star Pawan Kalyan in the lead. At that time, rumours actively did the rounds that he and Mahesh Babu would be teaming up. After Panjaa flopped, the director didn't do any films in Telugu. His most recent movie was in Tamil and it was released for Pongal.
