In Radhe Shyam, Pooja Hegde played a challenging role. Netizens had a field day trolling her performance in the movie. After the romantic drama started streaming on OTT, a video clip of Pooja crying out in the presence of Prabhas' character came to be heavily trolled. After this, many opined that director Hanu Raghavapudi not getting to cast Pooja in Sita Ramam was a blessing.
Ironically, Radhe Shyam helped Pooja bag an important Kollywood movie. Acclaimed Tamil director Karthik Subbaraj was apparently impressed with Pooja's performance in the Prabhas movie. He liked her acting in two of the emotional scenes in the movie and decided to cast her in Retro, which stars Suriya in the lead.
Pooja Hegde, know for Telugu films like Maharshi, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and a few other movies, is counting big on Retro. The film will hit the cinemas in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously on May 1 this year.
