This fear makes distributors claim profits even when they make losses.
As per the buzz in the town, the distributor's truth bomb has upset many in the industry. In the coming days, we might see a resurgence of inorganic, artificial fan wars on social media.
Audiences have a tendency to recency bias. Dozens of false claims have been made about the collections of several big-ticket movies. But social media will now talk about only recent movies like Game Changer. Mega fans, as a reaction, will dig up relatively older movies of other big stars who too ostensibly benefited from exaggerated claims about collections.
