In a recent interview, producer S Naga Vamsi revealed that Ram Charan has plans to do a quickie after Peddi and before proceeding to take on Sukumar's movie. The Pushpa 2 director seems to be taking a little longer than expected to finish pre-production.
Quickies have become nealy impossible to pull off in the age of pan-Indian cinema. But a well-made quick movie with excellent box-office returns would be nothing short of a miracle for the Telugu film industry. Charan seems to be on that path.
For this project, the RRR actor might team up with a young director known for sensible storytelling, given that all pro-superstar star filmmakers are already committed to doing other assignments.
So far, there has been no hint about this from Charan's camp. After the disastrous run of Game Changer earlier this year, all focus has been on marketing Peddi and making it look like a classic in the making. Peddi is slated to be released in theatres on March 26, 2026.
