Nesippaya, the Tamil-language romantic action thriller, has been released in Telugu as Premistava this week. The casting is interesting. The lead pair hail from a similar film background.
Akash Murali, the hero of the film, is the son of yesteryear actor Murali. He is the younger brother of Atharvaa Murali, a well-known Tamil actor. To be frank, Akash's weak performance has failed Premistava, which is otherwise a decent script. Director Vishnu Vardhan's treatment and storytelling would have clicked had the hero brought a certain rawness to the table.
The film's heroine is Aditi Shankar, the daughter of star director Shankar. While she looks somewhat older for her age, her performance is good enough. As a prisoner in an alien land (the story is set in Portugal), she is able in the film's emotional scenes.
Nesippaya aka Premistava has opened to a dull response in the Telugu States. Dubbed movies have long ceased to work for the Telugu audience.
