Producers Venu Saddi, Amar Bura, and Jayakanth (Bobby) expressed their gratitude during a thank-you meet for Gurram Paapi Reddy, attributing the film’s success to the collective hard work of the cast and crew and the overwhelming support from the audience. The film, which was released in theatres on Friday, is a dark comedy.

The producers highlighted that their movie is receiving positive reviews and enjoying houseful shows following successful paid premieres, with specific praise directed toward the comedy, music, and high production values. While thanking the technical team and their collaborators for their support, the producers encouraged continued patronage to help the film reach even greater heights.

Director Murali Manohar noted that the audience turnout on the opening day grew as the day progressed. While Avatar 3 ate into the film's potential, by evening, occupancies reached the 90% mark. The team behind GPR will be touring Andhra Pradesh in the coming days.

Actress Faria Abdullah, the only major female actor in the movie, described her male counterparts as showing the acting spark. She assured the audience that they would be thoroughly entertained.

Actor Vamsidhar Kosigi described GPR as a "new-age movie". Vamsidhar further said, "The director often mentioned how the producers provided everything needed for the film, which is why it turned out with such quality. The movie is gradually picking up, and I request more support to help it reach a wider audience."

Actors Rajkumar Kasireddy and Jeevan Kumar shared that GPR is receiving an overwhelming response from audiences, with Jeevan noting that premiere attendance even exceeded theater capacity. To further enhance the viewing experience, the director trimmed the film to a concise 2 hours and 20 minutes of pure entertainment. Both actors urged the public to support small-scale productions to help the industry thrive and announced an upcoming promotional tour across Andhra Pradesh to connect with fans directly.

What is the film about? It tells the story of a District Court Judge (Brahmanandam), who hands over harsh punishments to even minor offenders if the culprits are stupid. One day, he ends up dealing with a strange case. Four friends—Gurram Paapi Reddy (Naresh Agastya), Soudhamini (Faria Abdullah), Military (Rajkumar Kasireddy), and Chilipi (Vamshidhar Kosigi)—join hands to steal a corpse that was buried in the forests of Srisailam. They bring the body and try to bury it in a cemetery located somewhere in Hyderabad. In the process of reaching the place, they face competition from some other grave robbers who have also come to the same burial ground. The friends’ gang runs into trouble because of these thieves. Why are several gangs, along with the leading gang, hunting? How does Uddiraju (Yogi Babu) change the course of this chase story? Who is Kalinga Pothuraju, who lived from 1927 to 1987? What is the connection between this story and Markandeya Raju? And what exactly is the role of Goyyi, also known as Gavarraju (Jeevan), who is the main character of the story? Answers to these questions are found as the story progresses.
