Little Hearts seems to have a big heart when it comes to offering laughs and having no other business in mind! Mouli Tanuj steps into the unabashed Naveen Polishetty territory while retaining his own social media persona. In his famous reels, Mouli has taken on a self-deprecating persona over the years. In Little Hearts, his potential breakout theatrical release, his character is even more so.
Akhil (Mouli) is a midwit who falls in love with Katyanani (Shivani Nagaram), a dimwit. The best thing is that they are barely out of school, which makes their cutesy moments all the more enjoyable. Their parents don't have to look too agitated, considering that they are too young to go full rogue and too timid to become rebels.
Rajeev Kanakala plays Akhil's flustered dad, while Katyanani's dad is played by SS Kanchi. Anita Chowdary and Satya Krishnan have prominent supporting roles in this family entertainer.
Produced by Aditya Hasan and directed by Sai Marthand, Little Hearts is backed by the Bunny Vasu-Vamsi Nandipati duo. "Young love has its own level of maturity. Little Hearts brings that out without twists and serious moments. It's a fun-filled teen romance. It affords the audience mental peace. It's a light-hearted story, something that I believe treatments should be about. There is no message involved. The film is purely for time pass. Everything from the dialogue to the music is without cinematic frills. They are natural," producer Aditya said in an interview.
Little Hearts will hit the cinemas on September 5.
