It is known that a budding scriptwriter and author named Sonia Vimalavelan lodged a plagiarism case against HIT 3: The Third Case in the High Court of Madras, back in May. Sonia claimed that she had narrated a story to Natural Star Nani in 2022 and that some of its elements have been used in writing HIT 3. Sonia's original script is named Agent 11.
"The writer of Agent 11 has filed a detailed 61-point rejoinder in the Chennai High Court in response to the HIT 3 team. On June 18, the South Indian Film Writers Association acknowledged the substantial similarities between Agent 11 and HIT 3 and gave an official statement," Sonia has written in a long social media post.
As per her, the overlap between Agent 11 and HIT 3 is not limited to the core plot. "Nearly the entire narrative spine of Agent 11 shares extensive overlaps with HIT 3, including more than fifteen identical narrative beats. Our comparative analysis has been placed before the court," Sonia added.
