DSP's curious speech: 'Pushpa 2' receives negative publicity

Negative publicity usually harms the reputation of a film. The public image of 'Pushpa 2' has taken a slight beating among a section of the audience following Devi Sri Prasad's peculiar speech on Sunday.

Speaking at the launch event of the song 'Kissik' in Chennai, DSP bared his differences with Mythri Movie Makers. He suggested that producer Y Ravi Shankar has always had complaints about him more than love for him.

DSP also stated that you need to ask for what you want. "Nobody is going to give you anything without your asking, be it your remuneration or the credit you deserve," DSP said, making sure to ask Allu Arjun if he was right. The tone of DSP's speech was bizarre, given 'Pushpa 2' has more than one thousand crores riding on it.

It has been rumoured that the rift between Mythri Movie Makers and DSP has existed for many months. Recently, SS Thaman, Sam CS and Ajaneesh Loknath were roped in to compose the background score for 'Pushpa 2'. Was the decision to rope them in prompted by DSP's inability to meet deadlines, or was it driven by the poor quality of his work? That's something we might not know anytime soon. For now, 'Pushpa 2' has received negative publicity.

Starring Allu Arjun in the lead, 'Pushpa 2' will hit the cinemas on December 5.
