Cinematographer Djordje Stojiljkovic has revealed the extent of reality and VFX used in the depiction of the city of Kasi in Kalki 2898 AD, which is slated to hit the cinemas on June 27.

Speaking to The Hindu, the Director of Photography said that most of the sets were built in reality. Approximately 90% of what the viewer is going to see in the film as Kasi was "physically constructed" by a team of designers.

"The sprawling cityscape in the far background owes its grandeur to the exceptional work of VFX companies. The efforts to bring the streets of Kasi and all the other locations to life involved a blend of practical set construction and strategic VFX enhancements," the cinematographer informed.

The film, directed by Nag Ashwin, is a dystopian sci-fi action drama. Starring Prabhas in the lead, its Release Trailer will be out this Friday at 6 pm.
