The Trailer for 'Shivam Bhaje' was released today at an event in Hyderabad. Vishwak Sen and SS Thaman graced the occasion as guests.
The Trailer, at a little under two minutes, has nothing new to offer. A terror plot, a hero who can take on any danger with daredevilry as his biggest weapon, and a mystical/divine element advertised as a devotional trope.
Action thrillers of this kind work in today's times only when there is a novel hook. What is that plot point? The Trailer gives no clarity.
There is an investigative track the complexity of which baffles the sleuths. One hopes the script lives up to the advertised complexity of the so-called mystery. A mystery has to be complex genuinely. It shouldn't look impossible to crack because the characters in the movie are stupid.
'Shivam Bhaje', starring Ashwin Babu as the hero, also features Sai Dheena, Murali Sharma and others. Arbaaz Khan is the main villain. The film will head to theatres on August 1.
