Pushpa is on fire. We are talking about Anjali's character in the new web series in the town. Titled 'Bahishkarana', the ZEE5 show now has got an engaging trailer! Anjali plays Pushpa, a woman caught up in a tough life. Swearing to avenge her boyfriend's killer, she is a vengeful person who is a cut above the rest. The world she inhabits has lost its sweetness, replaced by a constant taste of injustice.
The director, Mukesh Prajapathi, really seems to have a grip on what he is up to. The characters appear to be well-developed, and the plot seems super catchy. There is revenge, of course, but also social issues like how the powerful bully the weak. They are willing to take whatever it takes, morals be damned.
Anjali is a whole new person in this, if the trailer is anything to go by. She is a fierce ex-prostitute taking matters into her own hands. It's a cool change to see her like this after 'Geethanjali Malli Vacchindi'! On the face of it, she might come across as a typical woman on a revenge mission, but with a Telugu-esque twist.
Running into six episodes, this one is going to stream from July 19.
