After a hit like 'Maharshi', Vamshi Paidipally was expected to do another movie with Mahesh Babu. The superstar hero, however, did a movie with Parasuram Petla. Left with no option, Paidipally went on to do a movie with Thalapathy Vijay. 'Varisu', titled 'Varasudu' in Telugu, was a hit in both languages. However, its content has been mocked by a lot of young audience members in Telugu.
After 'Varisu', Paidipally tried to team up with a big Telugu hero. However, almost all the Tollywood stars he prefers to work with are preoccupied. Their dates are unavailable.
Left with no option, he is once again teaming up with a non-Telugu hero. The buzz in the town is that the director is uniting with Hindi actor Shahid Kapoor for a movie to be produced by Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations.
Pan-Indian films have kept Prabhas, Jr NTR, Allu Arjun and, lately, Mahesh Babu quite occupied for years together. Our directors will increasingly be saddled with non-Telugu heroes in the coming years.
