Bollywood director Sanjay Gadhvi of 'Dhoom' fame is no more. As per national media reports on Sunday, the filmmaker passed away at his Mumbai home. Aged 56, he suffered a cardiac arrest as per his family members.

'Dhoom' (2004) was his breakout movie. It was headlined by Hrithik Roshan and became a trend-setter in some respects. Its sequel, titled 'Dhoom 2', was made two years later. 'Tere Liye', 'Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai', 'Kidnap', 'Ajab Gazabb Love' and 'Operation Parindey' are among his other Hindi films.

Many feel that Sanjay was an underrated filmmaker. "When I posted Bollywood director Kabir Khan’s pic yesterday (a wish to bring him back in the YRF Spy Universe), I received hundreds of texts saying that Sanjay Gadhvi should also direct some films in the Spy Universe. And now this heartbreaking news of his demise. The man who gave us 'Dhoom' and 'Dhoom 2' is no more," A Bollywood journalist wrote.
