Silly rumour about Thalapathy Vijay's career

Thalapathy Vijay, last week, felicitated a few rankers among students at an event in Chennai. On the occasion, he advised students to cajole their parents into rejecting cash offered by political parties at the time of elections. In Tamil Nadu, both DMK and AIADMK are notorious for spending thousands of crores at the time of elections.

The speech made some creative forces in the media speculate that Vijay allegedly wants to end his film career so as to become a full-time politician. As per them, the 'Bigil' actor won't be working in films after he completes 'Custody' maker Venkat Prabhu's movie.

If these media reports are anything to go by, 'Leo' and the Prabhu movie are the only ones that Vijay will be doing.

There is no indication from Vijay's camp that he is planning to quit acting. In the past, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan have claimed that they want to quit acting. They never did. In fact, they only increased the frequency of releases. Pawan Kalyan continues to say that he wanted to stop doing movies in the 2000s itself. Today, he is doing multiple projects.

Acting is a lucrative business for superstars. They will never want to quit movies that pay them a bomb every time.
