'Jailer' is the title of Superstar Rajinikanth's 169th movie. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of 'Beast' fame, the film is produced by Sun Pictures. The pan-South India movie will be released in theatres on August 10.

Its trailer, titled ShowCase, is cut in a riveting way. The male protagonist is introduced as a family man who is soft and timid like a kitten. But, should he be pushed to the wall, the tiger in him emerges.

In one of the best mass moments, Rajini attacks a baddie right in the presence of the women in his family. When his wife, played by Ramya Krishna, asks him to put an end to the bloodshed, the hero says that he has gone too far to stop it. The Kabali actor is in perfect form.

Jackie Shroff plays the main antagonist. Expect Sunil to deliver idiosyncratic laughs.

Anirudh Ravichander is composing music and his music for the song 'Hukum' is terrific.

With cinematography by Vijay Karthik Kannan, the film has editing by Nirmal. Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Yogi Babu are playing important parts.

Naga Chaitanya plugged the Telugu version's trailer.
