Comedian Venu Tillu's new avatar is director Venu Yeldandi. He will be making a star hero movie next under the production of Dil Raju. His maiden directorial, 'Balgam', is a surefire hit.
The actor-turned-director is now in the news over a frivolous police complaint against him. As per reports, a few Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC) members from Ibrahimpatnam mandala in Jagityal district of Telangana have claimed that MPTC members have been portrayed in an unflattering light in 'Balagam'. They are expecting Venu and producer Dil Raju to apologize to them.
Right after 'Balagam' was released in theatres, a journalist claimed that 90% of its story was lifted from a short story written by him. "I really pity him for making the claim. My film is entirely original," Venu said in an interview.
