'Kantara' has opened to superb collections in the Telugu States. Released on October 15 (Saturday) by Geetha Arts in AP and Telangana, the Rishab Shetty-starrer grossed Rs 10 Cr over the weekend. A Kannada film with no pan-India tonal sensibilities making ten crores in just two days is really big.

The film's morning show collections on opening day were good. By the night show, the collections were even better. On Sunday, several screens were added to meet the rising demand from the cine-goers.

The film's worldwide box office collections stand at a gross of more than Rs 100 Cr, with a lion's share coming from the Kannada version, which was released in theatres on September 30 alongside 'Ponniyin Selvan-I'.
